Hi,
As to the Wireless Driver I have Ralink RT5390R 8-2.11bgn. Driver date is 11/14/12. Driver Version 5.0.8.0. Thanks again for helping, 🙂 I have been struggling for weeks trying to resolve the issue thinking it was a router or gateway modum problem but nothing seemed to help when working on that side of things. MediaTek RT3070 is a highly integrated Wi-Fi single chip which supports 150 Mbps PHY rate. It fully complies with IEEE 802.11n and IEEE 802.11 b/g standards, offering feature-rich wireless connectivity at high standards, and delivering reliable, cost-effective throughput from an extended distance.
I am new to this board.I have an Alfa Networks USB wifi card model AWUS036NH using a Ralink RT3070 chipset inside. I´ve tried to install my card using the included CD in Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits. I´ve also tried downloading drivers from Alfa web page and Ralink webpage for my usb card. All is installed but the card is disabled in Windows 'lan conections'. In the end, salvation came from Ralink – their “Ralink Turbo” RT61 Chipset appears to have good, robust drivers for Win9x/Me, and natively support WPA2. However even that did not work without some tweaking, because the software utility did not allow me to choose that option – it had to be enabled manually via the registry. I don't know where else to post this so if I am in the wrong area please feel free to direct me to the right area, or if you can redirect me to where I could find the answer please feel free to do that as well.
